Brow Lamination has taken the beauty world by storm and has become a celebrity must have treatment within the beauty industry, leaving you with brows that are thicker, fuller and uniform. This must have trend tames tough and unruly hairs as it sets them them in place so that every hair lies in the same direction, creating a just-combed effect. Brow lamination is essentially a lash lift for your brows, blessing you with defined brows that are, however, fuller and thicker. How does brow lamination work?This treatment begins with a consultation with one of our aesthetic practitioners, where they will talk with you to find the right shape and style for your face, as well as advise you on aftercare and tips. Then, we will apply a solution in order to make your brow hair straight and flexible. A hydrating serum will then be applied to soften your brow hair, which is followed by nourishing oil. This treatment lasts for around a month, and achieves a low maintenance and time saving makeup routine.

Why not enhance and dramatise your lashes to match your brows? Lash lifting curls, darkens and lengthens your natural lashes, achieving a fuller and thicker appearance. Brow lamination and a lash lift and tint will bless you with a makeup routine that is timeless and low maintenance, as well as enhance your natural beauty. Our lash lifts last for 6-8 weeks, and you can still wear mascara to further dramatise your look without affecting your lash results.

Patch TestPlease note that a patch test is required 24 hours before your brow lamination treatment, therefore please come into Innersense Aesthetics in Wetherby for a patch test. We are available to perform patch tests at all times therefore there is no need to book an appointment, just walk in and one of the girls will do this for you. Unfortuantly we can not perform brow lamination without a patch test, therefore if you do not have this done we will have to cancel your appointment for your safety and for insurance.

We are super excited to be able to offer training in this amazing treatment, but what exactly is Semi-permanent makeup?!

Semi-permanent make-up, also known as Micropigmentation, is a form of temporary cosmetic tattooing which allows you to have long-lasting eyeliner and lip colour as well as being able to shape and contour your eyebrows. The procedure involves tiny particles of pigment being placed beneath the surface of the skin (In the dermal layer), much like a tattoo. This pigment will stay in the skin for a number of years, gradually breaking down and fading with time, although the longevity of the results will depend on your age and skin type.

Micropigmentation techniques have been refined in recent years and a wider selection of pigment colours have been developed so that technicians can create ultra-natural looks. Only a trained semi-permanent make-up artist can perform this treatment. Many technicians are also beauty therapists or nurses but you actually don’t need to have any formal training prior to training as we will cover everything you will need to know.

In addition to being commonly used for cosmetic enhancement to enhance the eyebrows, eyelids and lips, semi-permanent make-up may also be used to create an areola (the brown area around the nipple) after mastectomy or for scalp densification in cases of hair loss.

People that suffer from vitiligo or alopecia which are a chronic disorder that causes depigmentation in patches of skin can also benefit from semi-permanent makeup.

You can choose to train in just Eyebrows or Eyebrows, lips and Eyeliner and the methods we can train you in are Machine or Hand tool.

Anyone who wears make-up is a potential candidate for semi-permanent make-up especially the following:

• If they lack colour and shape to their lips and want to enhance them without having dermal fillers
• If they regularly pencil in their eyebrows or would like a better shape
• Fill in gaps where they have been over plucked
• If they want to enhance their eyes and want the effects of eyeliner without the running and under eye smudging
• If they want to open up their eyes and raise their eyebrows without the need for a brow lift
• If you are allergic to traditional cosmetics or if you
• Simply want to save time by not having to apply a full face of make-up every day

The technique is also used for medical applications such as:

• Areola (nipple) tattooing following mastectomy
• Eyebrow reconstruction for alopecia patients and those who have lost hair through burns, operations or accidents
• Densification of hair loss
• Cosmetic correction of cleft palate
• Correction of facial asymmetry

When we say Semi-permanent we mean that after the initial treatment, if left untreated again it would eventually fade away. However, it is recommended that clients boost their procedure annually to keep the cosmetic tattoo looking fresh.

What will you learn on your semi-permanent makeup training course?

You will receive first class training on a strict ratio. We only train a max of 2 trainees at a time, so you won’t get forgotten in a big group or classroom. We ensure you receive full focus and attention from your trainer and you will receive maximum hands-on coaching.

All our training courses consist of a balance of theory, demonstrations and practical work. In the full course will teach you the 3 basic aspects of cosmetic tattooing:

• Brow treatment

• Lip Treatment

Suitable for individuals who either wish to set up their own semi-permanent makeup business or who would like to enhance the treatments offered at a salon or clinic. You do not need to have any prior experience or a background in beauty. However, you must have a steady hand, an eye for detail and the confidence to sell yourself. The course will take you from complete novice to fully confident, certified practitioner.

Hello, my name is Shanice and I’m new to the Innersense Aesthetics team! I’m based in the Wetherby clinic which is lovely as I live in Wetherby too, it’s nice being so close to home and working within my local community. (Check out my bio on the website for more info on me)

I am now 5 weeks into my role as an Aesthetic Therapist and I have to say I absolutely LOVE IT! My initial induction is complete, and I have lots more training to look forward to.

During my short time here, I have met so many amazing clients and it is wonderful performing my treatments and seeing the joy on my clients’ faces when they see the results.

One of the best feelings is building up a rapport with my customers and seeing them return time and time again for treatments with me, that’s when I know I’m doing a good job. The company is really busy and has a lot of clients and I can’t wait to meet you all!

Over the last 2 weeks, I have had a lot of training with the Alumier range in the products and treatments, I can’t believe how amazing they are! I have loved not only learning about Alumier but also seeing the incredible results too. I have learned so much about advanced aesthetic skincare that I will never go back to my high street brands again! Im even planning my own Alumier event so keep your eyes peeled for that one ;)

I also attended a brow mapping course at the on-site training academy which is SO COOL! I can now ensure that all my brow clients have fantastic symmetrical brows to suit their face shape.

All in all, my first 5 weeks have been great, I can’t wait to continue to build my client base and learn more skills. My colleagues are lovely and I am so happy to be a part of the team.
